Fairy tale Winter Wedding at Mount Juliet
and Thomastown Church
Aoife and her dreamlike flower girls on the morning of the wedding in the bridal suite in the Hunter's Yard Hotel on the 5 star Mount Juliet Estate in Kilkenny, Ireland.
Lamber delivered the bridal bouquets for bride, and bridesmaids as well as the flower crowns for the flower girls on the morning of the wedding.
It was a busy suite with photographer, bridal party, florist and some of the hotel team pouring the Champagne.
The "Boys" were relaxed and proudly posing for their wedding pics together with the coolest bridal car, a stunning green vintage MG cabrio car.
The ceremony was at 1.30pm in the Church of Assumption in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, only 10 minutes drive from the beautiful Mount Juliet Estate and golf course. Perched on top of the hill overlooking the village of Thomastown and the beautiful River Nore this is a recently refurbished medium size church chosen by many couples for their wedding ceremony.
The bride arrives in the spectacular MG, driven by her father while the flower girls are already making their way up the church Isle.
There was great excitement amongst guests awaiting the arrival of the beautiful bride.
The floral decor by Master florist, Lamber de Bie for the wedding service was understated and naturally with lots of candles , natural Irish winter greens and seasonal white flowers.
After the service in Thomastown Church the couple and their guests made their short journey back to the Manor House Hotel on the Mount Juliet Estate for their drinks reception. They were welcomed with the Most amazing Christmas decor installed there by Lamber de Bie and his team.
Aoife's bouquet was the starting point of all of the floral decor Lamber created for her wedding. Lamber describes it a a sophisticated, elegant hand tied bridal bouquet with natural greens and silver toned eucalyptus foliage. Using a selection of seasonal white, Ivory winter flowers such as Lysianthus, miniature spray roses and Wax flower in a loose and naturally, classic style.
The McCalmont Suite
The luxury Hunters Yard hotel can cater for up to 200 guests in their banquet suite: The McCalmont Suite as seen below decorated by Local Master florist, Lamber de Bie.
The bride opted for a combination of some taller floral displays and some lower, below eye level on advice by Lamber. As Lamber mentioned the tall displays will give some drama to the room and create a Wow effect when the guests walk into the room while the lower table flowers are creating a understated, elegant feel to the room. Peronolised touches were brought in the decor by the pale blue candles that the bride liked and the crystal candle holders along the top table that Lamber brought along. The fairy lights around the wooden beams created a festive feel in the room without feeling too much like a Christmas wedding, after all it was still a full month before Christmas Day!
At Lamber De Bie Flowers we are delighted to be the chosen florist for Mount Juliet Estate and look after lots of weddings here as well as all the flowers for the both Hotels on the stunning country house estate.
Special thanks to Christina Brosnan, Photographer for sharing the images with us.
