About Us

Lamber de Bie Flowers is a well-established and busy flower business committed to providing high-quality floral arrangements and excellent customer service for over 25 years.  We operate a flower-studio/store at our Thomastown location that is not accessible to visit by customers from where we deliver flowers in county Kilkenny and provide a delivery of flowers nationwide via our delivery partners with DPD.

We also operate a very busy flower shop In Waterford city that is open seven days a week that we supply with flowers and sundries daily from our store in Thomastown. We specialize in delivering beautiful bouquets and plants for various occasions, including weddings, birthdays, holidays, and corporate events. We are looking for a dedicated and versatile Store Manager / Driver to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

The Store Manager / Driver will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing inventory, maintaining a clean and organized workplace, and ensuring timely deliveries to our customers and to our flower shop. This role combines store management responsibilities with driving duties to support our high-demand business.

Key Responsibilities

Store Management

• Daily operations of the store to ensure smooth functioning and high customer satisfaction.
  
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels of flowers, plants, and supplies; order new stock as needed.
  
• Ensure that the store is clean and organized at all times.
  
• Answer telephone and email inquiries, orders, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards within the business at all time.
  
• Communicate with owners, customers and colleagues always in a respectful and professional manor.
  
• Assist in the preparation of flower arrangements / wedding flower installations / corporate event flowers when needed.
  

Driver / Delivery Duties

• Safely deliver flower arrangements to customers' homes, offices, and other locations.
  
• Perform deliveries in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  
• Maintain and care for the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and fully operational.
  
• Handle delivery paperwork, including invoices and delivery confirmations.
  

Grounds Keeping

• Maintain the exterior and surrounding grounds of the store, ensuring it is always neat and presentable.
  
• Maintain and care for surrounding garden area at the Thomastown store.
  

Other Responsibilities

• Assist with events or larger orders, including weddings or corporate events.
  Communicate effectively with management to report any issues or needs.
  
• Ensure the smooth transition between store operations and delivery duties, switching hats as necessary.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  
• Familiar with use of PC  for order taking, communication, etc.
  
• Perfect command both speaking and writing in English.
  
• Knowledge or interest in flowers, plants, and general floral care is a plus.
  
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
  
• Ability to lift heavy floral arrangements or boxes as needed.
  
• A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once, and a willingness to learn new skills.
  
• Flexibility in working extra hours at busy times such as Christmas, Valentines Day,
• Mother’s day and weddings, corporate events.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in driving delivery vehicles for a business.
  
• Previous experience in grounds keeping or outdoor maintenance.
